The last week has been really busy. Last weekend I worked as a track side doctor for the Moto GP event at Donington Park. It was amazing being so close to the action and seeing the top riders handling their motorbikes incredibly well on the wet track.
During the week I was working back in A&E and yesterday I had a chance of trying a new sport. Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding is a fast growing sport where you stand on a large board similar to a surf board and propel it with a long single bladed paddle. You can do this on the flat water or in the surf. As soon as I get the hang of it I will be trying it out on the sea! John Hibbard, a pro windsurfer and the UK's top SUP paddler showed me the ropes and we went out for a paddle up the River Trent. See a couple of pictures here.
Today I have been in London supporting Gatorade and Matrix at the London Triathlon, I was itching to be competing!
