This year I am honourary team captain for the Daily Telegraph Brain and Spine Foundation (BSF)  London Marathon team. The race takes place on the 26th April 2009 and a friend of mine is taking part on the team. Please visit his just giving site here and sponsor him generously so lots of money can be raised for the BSF. The best thing about being honourary team captain is that I don't actually have to run it! Looking forward to meeting those who are joining me for a training run on the 8th March. Other news on what is going on in my hectic life will be up soon!

On Friday I was named Nottinghamshire male sports person of the year at a fantastic ceremony at the East Midlands conference centre. The nominations for the various awards really highlighted the depth of sporting talent in the county which is testament to the services, support and facilities the council provides here. Rebecca Adlington won the female sports person award.
